'Living our Values' Awards

Being committed to our goal of being ‘Miner of Choice’ means working together in the best way we can, and thinking of the smartest ways to do things. It also means living by Newcrest’s values. Every day, we use these values to guide our behaviour and frame how we do the ‘right thing’. This builds self-confidence and competence in our people. This is a vitally important part of our Vision of being ‘Miner of Choice’ and our growth strategy.

Newcrest’s ‘Living our Values Awards’ are awarded annually to individuals or teams who consistently demonstrate outstanding commitment to Newcrest's five values.

Creating Our Future

'Creating Our Future' is a major Newcrest initiative designed to provide everyone in the organisation with an opportunity to learn about the company’s direction and vision to be ‘Miner of Choice’. It also helps our people to understand how they can contribute to reaching our vision, while meeting people from our different sites. The initial series of 2-day workshops is now complete and we are continuing the journey with 'Creating Our Future 2' aimed at reinforcing the principles from 'Creating Our Future' and expanding our understanding of the business so that we can ‘build tomorrow today’.
