Namosi, Fiji

Joint venture with Nittetsu Mining Co. and Mitsubishi Materials Co., Namosi’s activity is diamond drilling of the Waisoi copper/gold porphyry deposits and regional exploration for additional deposits in the area.

Morobe Mining, Papua New Guinea

Joint venture between Newcrest and Harmony Gold, Hidden Valley’s greenfields development project and Wafi Golpu’s feasibility project is a new project expected to produce 4.2mtpa of ore to obtain 350,000 gold equivalent ounces per annum.

Cadia Valley Operations, New South Wales

Cadia Valley is home to the large, low grade Cadia Hill open pit mine – one of the largest open pit gold-copper mines in the country – and the higher grade Ridgeway underground mine – amongst the largest of its kind in Australia.

Telfer Operations, Western Australia

Telfer is a fly-in, fly-out operation with on-site accommodation for up to 1,500 people. The village offers a gym, swimming pool and golf driving range. The operation involves two mines: Telfer Open Cut – a conventional truck and hydraulic excavator operation with two Domes (Main Dome and West Dome), and Telfer Underground, which is located beneath the Main Dome and mined using sub-level caving methods.

Cracow Gold Operation, Queensland

Cracow is a joint venture operation (70% Newcrest, 30% Sedimentary Holdings) with flight access to the nearby town of Theodore. Cracow is a progressive underground mine.

Gosowong Operations, Indonesia

Joint venture between Newcrest (82.5% ownership) and PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals, Gosowong is the third mine to be developed by Newcrest and the first underground mine. Gosowong open pit and Kencana underground sites are 1 km apart.
